In September, for London Design Festival Tom Dixon will launch two new fragrances, Underground and Alchemy.
Underground’s intense flavours of ginger root and Alchemy’s notes of smoky guaiac wood will infuse the space.
Alchemy
Influenced by the endless search to transform basic materials into a valuable substance, sharp black pepper, woody cypress, eucalyptus, exotic patchouli and smoky guaiac wood combine to create the precious perfume of Alchemy.

The candles and diffusers will be available in a refreshed slim-waisted vessel in a range of new sizes and will be on display in the ‘Perfumery’ Arch.
Underground
In the dark subterranean, hidden below the surface, rhizomes secretly grow and slowly develop the fresh, sharp intense fragrance of ginger. This is combined with woody Haitian cardamom to make the unique scent of Underground.

Also in the Perfumery Arch, Danish timber company Dinesen will launch their new scent, Dinesen Douglas (DD-2).
A collaboration with artist and researcher in smell, Sissel Tolaas, and captures the essence of the Douglas tree, taking you on a sensory journey from forest tree to final plank.
Notes of freshly cut timber and dryness from the sawmill will infuse the perfumery.
Dinesen, a partner at the Coal Office, will host a talk with Sissel Tolaas and Tom Dixon where they will attempt to answer the question:
What role do the senses play when we experience design?
