THE DISTANCING DINNER
The key to turning the collective nightmare of the pandemic will be to change our mindsets.
The complexity and trials of social distancing might be seen as a POSITIVE in a small amount of ways.
An enclosed dining room or isolated booth within a restaurant within a precisely timed hour slot. A three course menu is already laid out.
A cold starter. A hot pot . A desert under a cloche. The table is cleared after the departure of the guests. Family groups that have self-isolated or single people can be served.
A selection of groceries are available to be selected and collected at the end of the meal. There is no direct contact with the staff.
Who hasn’t even dreamt in normal times of having more space, at the beach, at the art gallery or at home? DO we not ourselves seek more inner and outer space?
THE DISTANCING DISCO
A darkened cavernous underground space.
The solo visitor is allowed out to exercise and books a ten minute slot at the SOLO DISCO.
A giant PROLICHT/Tom Dixon/Spiritland disco light/sound system is programmed and a single projector screens an inspirational Soul Train Line Dance video for inspiration in dance moves.
THE DISTANCING WELLBEING
A High Intensity Training session is pre-programmed and triggered by the individual as they approach the Prolicht/Tom Dixon/Teenage Engineering sonic sculpture light object.
10 minutes of jumping , squatting and crunching to a curated ‘son et Lumiere‘ experience, before the individual is asked to leave and the next guest arrives.
THE DISTANCING
ART GALLERY
The Art Gallery is laid out with a strict floor plan and pathway through the exhibition marked with tape on the floor.
A minimum of 4 metres between exhibits. The visitor is given a timer, which buzzes every 5 minutes. Each exhibit is self contained with a detailed explanation. The curator has defined and timed the exhibition to be of maximum visiting time of 45 minutes.
